Harrison & Rachel's
Minnesota Engagement Session

ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS

A romantic session filled with golden light, wildflowers and the sweetest in-between moments

SEPTEMBER 11th, 2026

A romantic Minnesota engagement session filled with golden light, wildflowers, and the sweetest in-between moments.

There are seasons of life that deserve to be remembered exactly as they are.

The season before the wedding.

Before the dress and the church and the vows.

Before the day you've spent so much time dreaming about finally arrives.

The engagement season is its own little chapter—and for Harrison and Rachel, it was one I loved getting to preserve.

We spent an evening wandering through a Minnesota field as the sun began to dip behind the trees, letting their session unfold naturally with plenty of movement, laughter, and quiet moments together.

And the result?

A gallery that feels like them.

THE COUPLE:

Harrison & Rachel

LOCATION:

Bunker Hills Regional Park

PHOTOGRAPHY:

We spent their session surrounded by tall grasses and warm evening light, with the sun beginning to settle behind the trees.

And honestly, it was the perfect setting for them.

Rachel's soft floral dress against the warm tones of the field felt effortless, while Harrison's neutral, earthy tones allowed the landscape and their connection to take center stage.

As the sun moved lower, everything seemed to become a little softer.

The light.

The field.

The photographs.

And most importantly—the way they were together.

One of my favorite things about photographing couples is that I don't want every photograph to feel like you're posing for a photograph.

I want you to move.

Walk together.

Hold hands.

Laugh.

Look at each other.

Forget I'm there for a minute.

Because those little moments tell me so much more about a couple than a perfectly posed smile ever could.

Harrison and Rachel naturally fell into that rhythm.

There were the beautiful portraits, of course—but there were also the moments where they were simply together.

A hand reaching for the other.

A laugh in the middle of a prompt.

The way Rachel looked at Harrison.

The way Harrison pulled her close.

Those are the photographs that make a gallery feel alive.

And then there were the moments that reminded me not every photograph has to be serious to be beautiful.

A little twirl.

A little dancing.

A few kisses.

A spontaneous dip in the middle of a field.

Because your relationship isn't only made up of the quiet, romantic moments.

It's also made up of the laughter.

The ridiculous moments.

The things that make you feel like yourselves.

And I want your photographs to hold all of that.

One of the reasons I love offering engagement sessions to my couples is because this isn't simply an opportunity to create beautiful photographs.

It's an opportunity for us to get to know one another before your wedding day.

You'll learn how I photograph.

I'll learn how the two of you naturally interact.

You'll realize you don't have to worry about posing.

And when your wedding day finally arrives, you'll already feel comfortable in front of my camera.

That means you can spend less time wondering what you look like...

and more time being present for the things that actually matter.

The prayers.

The people you love.

The anticipation.

The Sacrament.

The vows.

The celebration.

The beginning of your marriage.

Harrison & Rachel 🤍 Thank you for trusting me to preserve this season for you.

I'm so grateful for the evening we spent wandering through the field, chasing the last bit of golden light and capturing the two of you exactly as you are.

Your wedding day will be here before you know it.

But for now—

this season deserves to be remembered, too.

Planning Your Own Minnesota Engagement Session?

Your engagement session doesn't need to feel stiff or overly posed.

My approach is relaxed, intentional, and gently guided so you can focus on each other while I preserve the little moments in between.

Whether we're wandering through a Minnesota field at golden hour, exploring a meaningful location, or simply documenting the two of you somewhere that feels like home, my goal is always the same:

beautiful photographs that still feel like you.

And for my Catholic couples, your engagement session is just the beginning of an experience centered around something much bigger than photographs.

Your marriage.

Your vocation.

Your story.

Your legacy.

Let's tell it beautifully.
