A Love Story in the Heart of Minneapolis: Rich & Kitty's Thoughtful and Joyful Proposal at The Butcher's Tale

Some love stories are filled with such intentionality and sweetness, they leave a lasting imprint on everyone who gets to witness them. Rich and Kitty’s proposal was exactly that—rooted in their shared memories, full of thoughtfulness, and overflowing with joy. Capturing it was an absolute honor.

From their first date to their unforgettable proposal, their journey is a reminder that love is in the little details.

A First Date to Remember: Butcher’s Tale & Milwaukee Avenue in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Rich and Kitty’s story began with a beautiful first date in Minneapolis. They met for dinner at The Butcher’s Tale, a cozy and modern steakhouse tucked into the heart of the city. It was the kind of evening where conversation flowed effortlessly—so much so, they continued their date with a walk down Milwaukee Avenue, a quiet, historic, brick-lined street that invites lingering steps and deep conversations. They talked for hours.

This street, filled with charm and nostalgia, quickly became one of their most cherished places—a symbol of connection and the start of something special.

An Intentional Proposal Filled With Meaning and Surprise

Fast forward to a sunny evening filled with anticipation: Rich had a plan. Not only did he want to pop the question, he wanted to do it in the exact place their story began. But he didn’t want it to be ordinary—he wanted it to be unforgettable.

So Rich did what only a deeply intentional man would do—he contacted the manager of The Butcher’s Tale,Daniel to help orchestrate the surprise. Framing it as a styled photoshoot for a new menu launch, Richhad had Daniel text Kitty to pose as models for the restaurant’s new promotional material. But behind the scenes, the true plan was about to unfold.

After a few casual shots and smiles all around, Rich led Kitty outside to the cozy patio fireplace. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with soft flickers of light and the quiet buzz of a Minneapolis evening. And there, in front of the fireplace, he got down on one knee. Kitty’s reaction was a beautiful mix of surprise, joy, and tears. It was pure magic to photograph.

A Signature Cocktail to Toast the Moment

Adding a unique and personal touch, Manager Daniel of The Butcher’s Tale went above and beyond to make the evening even more special. He crafted a signature cocktail just for Rich and Kitty, tailored to their tastes, served with heart and celebration.

These are the moments that make stories so memorable—the hidden gestures, the thoughtful touches, the community that surrounds a couple with love.

A Stroll Down Memory Lane (Literally)

After the proposal, we took a walk back to Milwaukee Avenue, retracing the steps of their very first date. With glowing smiles and a sparkling new ring, we captured photos full of laughter, tender glances, and the kind of connection that needs no words.

It felt poetic—this full-circle moment from where it all began to where they’re heading next.
